THERAPY CONCEPT
THERAPY AT EYE LEVEL
In my work I attach great importance to a good therapeutic relationship, characterized by respect and appreciation. I am convinced that everyone has the basic ability and skills to help themselves out of difficult life situations, thus my job is to work with my clients to (re)discover these skills, strengthen them and provide encouragement to enable them to make a positive change in their lives.

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THERAPY METHODS
In my work I only use scientifically proven methods of cognitive behavioral therapy, the effectiveness of which has been well documented by empirical evidence. I also follow the currently applicable guidelines of the Working Group of Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF). In addition to classic cognitive behavioral therapy, I also have experience in the newer variants of this type of therapy, the so-called "third wave", such as schema therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). By using a combination of different interventions, individualized therapy tailored to your specific needs and situation is possible.
WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY?
Cognitive behavior therapy has been used to treat various disorders since the 1960s. Its basic assumption is that feelings, thoughts and behavior are related to each other. Therefore, changing our thoughts and behavior will result in a positive change in our feelings. Newer approaches also focus on other aspects, such as the influence of negative life experiences on our current attitudes about ourselves, about other people and about the world. These insights help us understand and alter problematic behavioral and thought patterns, so that they no longer affect our lives negatively. Furthermore, techniques such as acceptance, mindfulness, emotion regulation or interpersonal communication are important components in therapy.
